While setting up our permanent farm in Ikenne in 2013

It’s majorly sited for swamp fish farm, we used up the remaining land for plantain cultivation and plantains harvested took perfect care of all labor cost and other ponds construction,,,,, as we’re expanding we started cutting off the plantain gradually for the main purpose…

Fast forward… we incorporate local chickens so they could be feeding on wastes and that was generating about 350,000-500,000 for us annually with Zero care for them, we wiped them off and make a one time clearance sales raking in 450,000 with 18 being consumed personally, we had to clear them off our farm because of encroachment into our broiler pens and that’s a potential CRD vector and transmission.

We now replace them with Ducks…. We stock young chicks just about 3 months ago, out of 5, 2 already hatched 22 chicks with the remaining 3 incubating…

Integration is always helpful and could bring relief revenue but must be carefully practiced.

In the Agro industry, there’re numerous opportunities and platform across the value chain, the more you can tap in the better chances and increment in revenue

This is simply called integration/curcularity,one aspect will always needs the other thereby makes operations much more easier and profitable

This come with its own challenges though but if well mastered it’s really worth it.

We’ve been in the Feedmilling and Agro trade/feeds and feeds raw material sales for close to 2 decades

It’s not necessary you do exactly as we’re doing but you can look more inward into your operations and add/invest into integration that’ll add value to the current one.

Good day everyone

What are you using as beddings on your farm

As for us we use RICE HUSK, rice husk has very high absorption ability and other numerous advantages

It can be used for numerous animals beddings, broiler ,sheep,cattle etc

It aid aeration thereby dry up quickly and reduce coccidiosis proliferation

Aeration also aid reduction in ammonia build up

*It’s reusable, can be used for 2-5 years*

You can always get this from any rice mill around you.

*In animal breeding, especially sheep, the main yardstick to measure growth/improvement is by weight gain over specific time.*

*Last year November we took the bold step of acquiring Ladoum ram after thorough findings about the breed and it’s actually yielding what we got it for*

*Faster growth, faster weight gain, higher resistance and adaptability and aesthetics.*

*Our first ever Ladoum F1 was lambed on 12 June 2026 and was named MKO(I guess we all know why that name 😂) and was sold that same day. Today the lamb is 2 month old and we decided to check the weight so as to note it and compare with our usual records.*

*It hit an amazing weight of 22.8kg*

A well fed Ewe will be always willing to feed her lamb(s) as it’s in this video, the Ewe has actually been feeding her lambs(Ladoum F1) for about 1minute + before I started the video,,, this simply shows good Ewe that’s been feeding on good feed under a good management….

Cattle feedlot is simple,easy and very profitable

Work your plan around your capital
Right facility
Right animals stocking
Right feed and water
With not much knowledge,you’re good to go.

You can do as much as 40-60% profit within 3-7months

Free range/grazing isn’t usually free, it calls for expertise so don’t ever think the free grass actually free, when you don’t have the expertise and knowledge you’ll more then you can ever imagine.

Whenever we have a purchase request of animals from any customer especially diaspora or far from our location customers, we let our detailed farm records do much of the talking,Customers tends to have deep confidence in such clear records data kind of discussion because it shows that we actually knows our onions and. It just talk talk talk and talk.
