Someone asked me, “Dr Beans, why do you care so much about beans?” 😅
I took it as a compliment. 3am wake-ups, basins on our heads, firewood (yes, firewood!), and a queue that never waited for anybody.
I didn’t just grow up around beans. I grew up inside beans.

Yesterday I said you’d see the factory, the team, the mistakes, the wins. Then I remembered... I forgot the farm! 😅
Here’s why it matters. A customer in the US called me about beans that smelled of chemicals. They weren’t from us, but I still helped, because I want Nigerians to be safe with beans, whoever sells them.
Trust in food starts from the farm.

Two weeks in China, one question I can’t shake: why can’t we do this with our own food? 🇨🇳

I saw one grain become so many different meals, and I saw the system behind every plate: farm, processing, packaging, trust. Nobody was treating their local food as “just food.”

I came home to Lagos and made a decision. Tquart isn’t going to be just another food brand. It’s going to be The Beans Republic.
