🎓 Grade 4 was where my formal education ended.
This week, I received an Honorary Doctorate.
For a long time, I did not believe those two sentences could belong in the same story.
I did not have the academic path.
But life became my classroom.
🛣️ The streets taught me urgency.
🧘 The mountains of the Philippines taught me discipline.
💼 Business taught me responsibility.
💰 A $1 million debt taught me truth.
And every difficult season taught me that education does not end when school does.
It continues every time life asks more of you than you feel ready to give.
This week, I was deeply humbled to receive an Honorary Doctorate from the American University for Training and Professional Studies, presented by H.E. Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah Al Mualla, in recognition of my contributions to business, training, and professional studies.
This is an honorary recognition—not an earned academic doctorate.
But for someone whose formal schooling ended in Grade 4, this moment carries a meaning I will hold close for the rest of my life.
Not because a title changes who I am.
But because it reminds me that your beginning is not your verdict.
📖 You can learn after school.
🔄 You can rebuild after failure.
🌱 You can become more than your circumstances suggested.
From Grade 4. To an Honorary Doctorate.
Not through shortcuts.
Through clarity.
Discipline.
Direction.
To every mentor, student, client, friend, and family member who believed in the work when it was still invisible: thank you. 🙏
What part of your story once felt like a limitation but later became your strength?
