This morning, as I got to my pen, I noticed one of my broilers wasn’t looking okay. I quickly took it out to observe it, but suddenly it started convulsing and struggling for life… within moments, it was gone.

Watching it shake on the floor was not easy. It made me reflect deeply—life is truly fragile. One minute everything seems normal, the next, it’s over.

Moments like this remind me that farming is not just about feeding and selling birds; it also comes with lessons, emotions, and reality checks.
God is truly wonderful… and life itself is a mystery.

No crowding here
We changed their bedding and expanded their space to keep them clean and comfortable.

More space, fresh environment, healthier birds
Good management makes all the difference ✔️

One mistake that can slow down your birds’ growth 👇

Dirty water or stale feed.
It sounds small, but it affects appetite, health, and weight gain.
Simple habit: wash drinkers daily and serve fresh feed.
Small discipline, big results.

Yesterday, at 2 weeks 3 days old, our pullets received their second Gomboro vaccine.

Before administering the vaccine in the morning, we withdrew their water and gave only feed for one hour. This helps ensure they are ready to drink the vaccine promptly. We then washed the drinkers thoroughly before mixing the vaccine with clean water, adding a little milk to help preserve its potency.

They were allowed to take the vaccine water for one hour. After that, we removed it, washed the drinkers again, and provided clean, ordinary water for the rest of the day.

Proper vaccination routine is key to raising strong and healthy birds 🐥💪

Our 2-week-old pullets have now moved from plates to feeders, alongside a pipe cut into halves laid across the brooder to evenly spread feed.
This setup gives every bird easy access, reduces crowding, and minimizes feed wastage.
A cleaner arrangement and more efficient feeding system — small changes that support better growth and stronger performance

We’ve fully switched to ni**le drinkers in our brooder
Cleaner water, minimal spillage, and a more hygienic environment for the birds
It also makes daily management easier and reduces stress
A simple upgrade that improves overall bird health and comfort

2nd Lasota vaccine done today at 2weeks

21/04/2026

Our babies are now 2 weeks old and today we gave their second Lasota vaccine

As I got to the brooder, no water first — I gave feed only and allowed them eat for 1 hour

After that, I administered the Lasota (with a little milk)
Within 1 hour, they finished it ✔️
Drinkers were washed and clean water was given after

Proper timing and method = effective vaccination 💪
how do you administer your lasota vaccine

This is where many poultry farmers get it wrong… 👀🐥

Dirty bedding + weak birds = poor results

Clean environment isn’t optional… it’s everything ✔️

Are you doing this for your birds?

How often do you change your wood shavings? 🤔🐥

Many farmers wait too long… and that’s where problems start

Wet or dirty bedding can lead to sickness, bad smell, and slow growth.

For us, we don’t wait for it to get worse—once it’s wet or dirty, we change it ✔️

Yesterday, we changed their bedding and also gave them vitamins 💊 to boost their health and keep them active.

Clean bedding = healthy, active birds 💯

How often do YOU change yours?
