Mix your manure into the soil BEFORE you spray any pesticides. Manure feeds the soil, but digging after spraying ruins your pest protection. Feed soil first, protect second 🌱

A client of mine wanted me to raise avocado seedlings for them. Since I mostly transplant already-raised seedlings, this was a new experience for me. I did my research and found two ways of raising avocados: either in soil or in water suspension.

I was quite puzzled, so I made a quick visit to the garden of the Ministry of Agriculture at Amawbia, Awka, Awka South LGA, Anambra State, to meet practical farmers who do this daily and garner knowledge on the best method.

One of the farmers I met lectured me on how to raise the seeds and the management practices, and even made the nursery for me. So kind of her! I also had a little discussion with a group of farmers who were budding; they kindly lectured me on that and offered to help me with practical knowledge of budding.

In conclusion, we never stop learning. Being an expert in your field doesn't mean you should limit yourself from learning from others in that same field. I value my clients, and I'm out to give them outstanding results while gaining more knowledge. Win-win situation! 😊

I kicked off the year with my first job in Nsugbe, Anambra State, establishing a pepper and cucumber farm.

I oversaw the work in the screen house for peppers and an outdoor field for cucumbers. Tasks included mapping out the land, raising beds, sowing seeds for germination, lecturing the owner and staff on farm management practices and supervising labourers to ensure a smooth start.

I can't wait to see these crops grow! 😊

Just went for a weekly check-up on my peppers since they've started fruiting, and I was thrilled to see today's outcome! My babies are doing amazingly well, and I couldn't resist taking some pictures to share with you all 😊.
The peppers I have below are: Sombo, Tatase, Nsukka yellow, Habanero, Bird eye(maxi) and bird eye (mini).

Fruiting peppers = happy farmer 🥰😁
