COUNT ME OUT!

Small small, God is taking us there. It may not be easy. The route may be an unusuall one. Yet, be patient. Follow the leading of the Almighty. He knows tomorrow even when we don't have an idea of what it looks like.

Jan 24 2025 this year, I undertook a difficult venture hoping to make something out of it. I worked so hard and expectations were high. I committed myself into it in a very massive way.

But what happened?

I didn't succeed. It felt so bad. I cried. At a point I went indoors to rue my loss. What a bad business! But I had to let go. Because I dutifully prayed before engaging with the business. I trusted God still because there was no question of His love over me. My loyalty will never be in doubt. Gradually, I healed.

Fast forward to today, I have learnt something very useful. And I now appreciate what happened. My loss was actually a huge gain. What I felt I lost had come back to me in countless folds;

I'm grateful. Last night I kept calling God a Master Strategist! Ezeigwe. Omalichaa taa, mara echi. Ono na ntiri furu ntiri. Eze ebube...

Guys, if it's not God, count me out,life of a poultry farmer,one day I will share my journey in this poultry space.meanwhile these are our fresh eggs from our birds

1. 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗛𝗘𝗔
This usually happens when chickens are stressed by heat, drink dirty water, eat salty feed, or experience sudden changes in diet.

✓ what to do
~ Give them clean, cool water with electrolytes
~ Avoid salty feed
~ Make sure the coop has good airflow

2. GREEN DIARRHEA
Often caused by viral infections like Newcastle disease, feed withdrawal, or bile issues.

✓ what to do
~ Separate sick birds from the flock
~ Give multivitamins, especially A, D, and E
~ Use antibiotics if you suspect a secondary infection

3. YELLOW DIARRHEA
This can be a sign of bacterial infections like E. coli or poor digestion.

✓ what to do
~ Give the right antibiotics like oxytetracycline
~ Clean and disinfect their water containers and feeders

4. BLOODY DIARRHEA
Usually caused by coccidiosis, a common intestinal parasite in poultry.

✓ what to do
~ Treat with anticoccidial drugs like Amprolium or Sulfadimidine
~ Clean the litter, isolate infected birds, and disinfect the coop

✓ PREVENTION TIP
Keep the poultry house clean, feed them well, give clean water, and stick to regular deworming and vaccination routines.

Take note of this when brooding.

_Ensure brooder temperature is maintained and in the absence of thermometer the best guide to determining the behavior of the Chick is as follow;

_Crowding of chick near the heat source means that the heat or temperature is low.

_If the brooder is high the chick will spread wings,panting ,opening mouth and far from the heat source.

_The best situation is when chick is eating ,drinking ,running ,dancing and even eventually distributed around the heat source

Take note of this_ensure clean hygiene at all time, avoid any dirty litters .

ESSENTIAL TIPS FOR RAISING HEALTHY BROILER CHICKENS.

Raising broiler chickens requires attention to their nutrition, lighting, and housing.

1. Provide high-quality, commercially prepared feed that meets the nutritional needs of your broiler chickens.

2. Feed starter feed from day old till 4weeks with 22-24% protein to support initial growth.

3. Switch to finisher feed at 5 weeks with 18-20% protein to promote continued growth.

4. Allow chickens to eat as much as they need, and ensure constant access to feed.

5. Provide clean, fresh water at all times.

6. For the first week, provide continuous lighting to promote feeding and adaptation.

7. Gradually introduce a light-dark cycle, aiming for 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness per day.

8. Use fluorescent or LED lights for efficient and safe lighting.

9. Ensure a comfortable environment with adequate ventilation, temperature control, and bedding.

10. Provide 1-1.5 square feet of space per bird to prevent overcrowding.

11. Regularly clean and disinfect the housing area to maintain good hygiene.

12. Use heating and cooling systems to maintain a comfortable temperature range.

Natural disinfectant suitable for your poultry birds
VINEGAR and WATER Solution: - Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water. - Use this solution to clean feeders, waterers, and surfaces in the poultry area. Vinegar is effective at killing bacteria and removing dirt. Meanwhile we are 9 days. Ama-kais farms
