He rapĀ£d and k!lled her inside the church.
In the afternoon of Friday September 17, 2022, a 20 year old young man by name Tosin Kolade who was learning plumbing work, at the Oludo area of Oyo State, took permission from his master to go home and use their toilet. Because his mother was a member of the sanitation team in their church, and due to that she has a spear key of the church at home, which gives her access to the church at anytime that she wants to open the church and clean it. When Tosin Kolade got home, he didn't use the toilet again, rather he picked up the church key and went to the church. On getting to the church, Tosin Kolade carried some chairs outside the church and sat outside the church waiting for a 17 year old Ifeoluwa, which by Tosin Kolades' calculation, would pass by that way on her way to her Friday Bible study in her own church. On siting Ifeoluwa passing by, Tosin Kolade hurriedly called her and asked her if she would help him to carry the chairs inside the church? Ifeoluwa who never suspected anything, carried the chairs with him inside the church. As soon as they entered the church, Tosin Kolade brought out a knifĀ£ from his pocket and asked Ifeoluwa to hand her phone over to him. Ifeoluwa started dragging with him until the knifĀ£ fell on the floor, at that moment she decided to run out of the church. On running towards the church door, Tosin Kolade put leg for her and she fĀ£ll on the floor with her face and became very weak. Tosin Kolade picked up the knifĀ£ and went to her and demanded for the passw0rd of the phone. Ifeoluwa gave him a wrong password, when he discovered that it was a wrong password, he forcefully rapĀ£d her and strangled her to dĀ£ath, took her phone, lock up her dĀ£ad b0dy inside the church, went back to their house, dropped the church key and returned back to the place were he was learning plumbing work.
When Ifeoluwas' family couldn't see her that evening, her father who is a retired assistant commissioner of police, and her mother rushed to the police station and reported that she was m!ssing. By the next day, her lifĀ£less b0dy was found in the church premises with bl00d stains on her privatĀ£ 0rgan and was taken to m0rtuary. The police continued with investigation on who was responsible, but couldn't find anyone.
Later mama Ifeoluwa saw a mobile phone in their house with several missed calls on it, and one of the numbers calling was Ifeoluwas' pastor, she knew that the phone was neither hers nor her son's phone, and her conscience couldn't bear it for her to keep such phone in her house. So she took the phone to Ifeoluwas' pastor, the pastor took the phone to Ifeoluwas' father and Ifeoluwas' father took the phone to the police.
The police later arrested Tosin Kolade in connection with the phone and mvrder of Ifeoluwa, and paraded him before journalist on Tuesday September 20th, 2022. Tosin Kolade confessed to the crimĀ£ before the police and the journalist.
The police charged Tosin Kolade to court 9 of Oyo State High Court, Ibadan, for rapĀ£ and mvrder.
In the court, Tosin Kolade denied all the confessions that he made to the police and the journalist, but the evidences against him was sufficient, and the Judge found him guilty and sĀ£ntenced him to life impris0nment for rapĀ£ and sentenced him to dĀ£ath by hanging for mvrder.
