She refused to pay online. πŸ˜‚
I gave her directions to the training centre, and this woman didn't even call to confirm she was coming. Next thing I heard was, β€œI'm at the gate.” πŸ˜†
She said she had been scammed before, so I completely understood her caution.
When she came in, we were already working. She looked around at the environment, the setup, the tools and equipment, and I could literally see her becoming more comfortable.
She said:
β€œI love everything I'm seeing here. This is the kind of place I want.” ❀️
She even asked for permission to make a video and send it to her husband.
And guess what? She came all the way from Asaba! πŸ₯Ή
She's been enjoying her classes and is always eager to learn.
Moments like this make me stop and appreciate how far Dabyz 'n' More has come.
I'm not where I want to be yet, but I've learnt something:
Even when you're starting small, start RIGHT.
Build properly.
Invest wisely.
Create an environment you're proud of.
Keep improving.
Today, I'm looking at my students in their beautiful new aprons and I'm simply grateful. πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈ

🧀 Gloves don't automatically mean good hygiene.
We sometimes think that once gloves are on, our food is automatically protected. Not necessarily.
Gloves can become contaminated tooβ€”especially when you touch your phone, money, door handles, equipment, or other surfaces and continue handling food with the same gloves.
Whether you're making cakes, small chops, bread or pastries, what matters is proper food-handling practices.
Before handling food:
βœ… Wash your hands properly.
βœ… Keep your work surfaces clean.
βœ… Use clean equipment.
βœ… Change gloves when they become contaminated.
βœ… Avoid touching unnecessary surfaces while wearing food-handling gloves.
And remember: gloves are an extra layer of protection, not a replacement for clean hands and good hygiene.
Sometimes the most important part of food safety isn't what people can seeβ€”it's the habits behind the scenes.
Bakers, let's take hygiene seriously. Your customers trust you with what goes into their bodies. ❀️πŸ₯

We're moving higher
See this stainless steel table! 😍
Na the real Odogwu! πŸ˜‚β€οΈ
Years back, I remember looking at this table and wondering, "Will this thing really be worth the money?"
Today, years later, I can confidently say this was one of the best investments I made for Dabyz 'n' More.
It has served us in ways I probably didn't imagine when I bought it.
Sometimes, growth isn't about the big things people see online. Sometimes, it's that one piece of equipment you struggled to afford, but today you can't imagine working without.
I'm not there yet.
But one thing I know for sure...
I'm definitely not where I used to be. πŸ™πŸ½
To you, this may just be a stainless steel table.
To me, it's a reminder of how far God has brought Dabyz 'n' More. πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈ
And I'm grateful.
May heaven continue to open up for Dabyz 'n' More.
May there be greater opportunities, bigger orders, better equipment, and more reasons to look back and say, "God really did it."
Amen! πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈ

One thing business has taught me... πŸ˜‚
Not everyone who asks for your price is actually ready to buy.
Someone will enter your DM:
"How much is this one?"
You send the price.
"Okay, what about this?"
You send another.
"Do you have this design?"
You answer.
"How much for this size?"
You answer again.
Before you know it, you've answered 15 questions and written a mini thesis. πŸ˜πŸ˜‚
Then comes the famous:
"Okay, I'll get back to you." 🀣
And... silence. πŸ¦—πŸ˜‚
At first, it used to hurt.
Now? I've learnt to breathe and move on. πŸ˜‚
People enquire for different reasons. Some are comparing prices, some are gathering information, some aren't ready yet, and some genuinely intend to come back later.
So do your part:
Answer professionally. Be helpful. Don't be rude. Follow up when necessary. Then move on.
Don't allow one "I'll get back to you" to ruin your day or make you conclude that nobody wants your product.
An enquiry is not a sale. And a "no" is not a rejection of you.
Keep marketing. Keep showing up. The right customer will come. β€οΈπŸ’―

Some years back, low-cut hairstyles were a serious trend among ladies. πŸ˜‚
I wanted to test the waters too, but I wasn't quite sure how it would look on me, so I maintained my steeze. πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
Fast-forward to now... low-cut is back, and this time, I'm testing the watersβ€”and I'm loving it! πŸ˜πŸ˜‚
But abeg, be careful who you allow near your head ooo! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Because if you land in the hands of an amateur, your own story can quickly become:
"What I ordered vs. what I got." 😭🀣
You say you ordered Lamborghini, only to receive Keke Napep.
Or you ordered Keke Maruwa and they brought Korope. πŸ˜πŸ˜‚
The koko of the matter is this: whatever you're doing, dig deep.
Do your research.
Know your craft.
Choose the right people.
Work smart.
And strive for excellence.
Whether it's your hair, your business, your career or anything you're investing inβ€”don't just do it; do it well.
Then when the results come, flaunt am! 😌πŸ”₯
Have a beautiful day, everyone. ❀️

How's the weather treating your fondant ?
Tip of the day.
🌧️ HOW'S THE WEATHER TREATING YOUR FONDANT? πŸ˜‚
If your fondant has been sweating because of this humid weather, here's a little tip that may help:
πŸ”₯ Turn on your oven and allow it to get warm, then switch it off completely.
Place your already-covered fondant cake inside the switched-off oven and allow it to sit there for a while. The warm, dry environment can help reduce the moisture on the surface.
Bring it out and you should have a much cleaner, drier finish. βœ¨πŸŽ‚
Tip: Don't put the cake inside while the oven is still heating, and don't leave it unattended. The goal is gentle warmthβ€”not baking your already-finished cake. πŸ˜‚
