Today, I found myself thinking about where I started.
I remember those days when I barely had clothes. Whenever there was an event, I would search through everything I owned just to find my “best” outfit, even though it wasn’t much. I wore what I had because that was all I could afford.
I can now afford to buy clothes for myself, and for that, I’m truly grateful to God.
What brought all these memories back today was something my sister said. She told me I don’t have a good dressing sense. It really hurt my feelings and made me feel bad. She may not have realized it, but those words took me back to a time when I didn’t have many options. Sometimes, people judge your style without knowing the story behind it.
Despite that, I choose gratitude. I want to sincerely thank every auntie who gave me clothes during those difficult years. You may have thought it was just a few clothes, but to me, they meant confidence, dignity, and the chance to show up without feeling completely left out.
May God richly bless every one of you. I’ll never forget your kindness. Thank you for being part of my journey. ❤️

Some words can reopen old memories, but they also remind us how far we’ve come. I’m grateful for every person who helped me when I had little. God bless you all. ❤️🙏
