🇳🇬 NIGERIA @66 — HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! 🇳🇬
A MESSAGE FROM HON. HARUNA YAHAYA KADANA
ADC Candidate for House of Representatives, Karaye/Rogo Federal Constituency
Today, as Nigeria marks 66 years of independence, I join millions of Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to celebrate our great nation and honour the heroes and patriots whose sacrifices helped shape the Nigeria we inherited.
Independence is not merely the freedom to govern ourselves. It is a sacred responsibility to build a country where every citizen can live with dignity, security, justice and hope.
At 66, Nigeria has experienced triumphs, challenges, setbacks and remarkable resilience. Yet one thing remains undeniable: the Nigerian spirit is strong. Our people continue to demonstrate courage, creativity, hard work and an unshakable belief that a better Nigeria is possible.
Our diversity must remain our strength—not a reason for division. Whether Christian or Muslim, North or South, young or old, rich or poor, we are all stakeholders in the Nigerian project.
As we celebrate today, let us also reflect. The Nigeria we desire will not be built by words alone. It requires accountable leadership, responsible citizenship, justice, security, quality education, economic opportunity and genuine service to the people.
We owe it to the generations before us, and to the generations yet unborn, to leave behind a Nigeria that is stronger, more united and more prosperous than the one we received.
From Karaye to Rogo, Kano State and across Nigeria, I pray for peace in our communities, protection for our citizens, wisdom for our leaders, and opportunities for our young people.
Let us renew our faith in Nigeria.
Let us reject division and embrace unity.
Let us choose hope over despair.
Let us work together for a Nigeria where every citizen has a reason to believe.
Nigeria may face challenges, but Nigeria must never lose hope.
🇳🇬 THE LABOUR OF OUR HEROES PAST SHALL NOT BE IN VAIN.
