I recently started learning digital marketing and photography at the Dakkada Skills Acquisition Centre and I felt it was important to share my honest experience so far.
Before joining, I already had an interest in these areas, especially because of my involvement in my food business. But to be real, I didn’t fully understand how to use digital tools effectively or how to present my products in a more professional way. I mostly relied on trial and error.
Since I started the program, things have become clearer.
The training has been practical and straightforward. We’re not just being taught theory—we’re shown how to actually do the work. From creating content to understanding how to reach the right audience, everything is broken down in a way that’s easy to follow.
In photography, I’ve started paying attention to things I used to ignore, like lighting, angles, and composition. It’s helped me see how small details can make a big difference in how a product or image looks.
I won’t say I’ve mastered everything yet, but I’ve definitely improved. So far, I have:
A better understanding of how digital marketing works
Learned how to create more intentional and engaging content
Improved how I take and present pictures, especially for my products
Started applying these skills gradually to what I do
The difference is noticeable, even if it’s still a work in progress.
From my experience, is a good place for anyone who wants to actually learn a skill, not just get a certificate.
If you’re serious about improving yourself, especially in areas like digital marketing, fashion, beauty therapy, photography, or any skill at all it’s worth considering.
The environment encourages learning, and you get the chance to practice what you’re taught.
I’m still learning, and I know I have a long way to go. But I’m glad I started. It’s already helping me think differently about how I present my work and how I can grow.
If you’ve been thinking about learning a new skill, this might be a good place to start.
