Your chickens are listening more than you think…

Just like us, chickens respond to their environment... including the sounds around them. Studies show that soft classical music or calming farm sounds can reduce stress in poultry, leading to better feed intake, faster growth in broilers, and improved egg-laying in layers.
On the flip side, loud noises like constant generator hums or frequent shouting can spike cortisol (stress hormones) in birds.
Maybe it’s time to treat your birds to a little peace and quiet... or even a soothing playlist!

How Lighting Affects Broilers and Layers Differently

It’s not just about feed ... your lighting is speaking to your birds.

If your birds aren't growing or laying as expected, check your light setup. Broilers thrive on shorter periods of light with intervals of darkness to encourage rest and reduce stress.

Layers? They need long hours of consistent light...about 14–16 hours daily, to maintain steady egg production.

Too much light? Your birds may get aggressive.

Too little light? Egg count may drop like a broken crate.
Let there be the right kind of light!

Green, white, watery, or bloody droppings? That’s your bird’s way of saying, “Something’s not right.”
