Wist je dat onze biologische ‘blonde’ quinoa van Nederlandse bodem komt? De telers van onze bio quinoa zijn Jan Knook uit Westbeemster en André Jurrius uit Randwijk. Andre: “Als bio-teler ben ik altijd op zoek naar duurzame gewassen die een toekomst hebben, zoals quinoa." De verwerking van het oogstproduct kan bijvoorbeeld zonder water worden gedaan, hierdoor gaan er ook nauwelijks voedingsstoffen verloren. De quinoa soorten van de The Quinoa Company zijn veredeld: ze zijn onder andere volkoren en niet-bitter. Ook is deze quinoa 100% glutenvrij. Voor teler Jan Knook een belangrijke factor. Want naast dat hij de quinoa een interessante plant vindt om te telen, heeft zijn zoon een glutenallergie. En dat gaf hem een extra reden om dit glutenvrije plantje te gaan telen. Henri heeft een biologische naturel quinoa en biologische quinoa met groenten. Je kunt de quinoa serveren als bijgerecht of er bijvoorbeeld een salade van maken. Het is een gemakkelijk product, waar veel mee kan worden gevarieerd. Naast deze maaltijdcomponenten verkoopt Henri ook een kant-en-klare éénpersoonsmaaltijd met quinoa: De kokoscurry met quinoa.
