We are currently busy preparing for the release of '29 Years, 29 Songs' Part 2. This all because of the huge succes of Part 1 , which has almost been sold 1000 times. all revenues will be donated to a foundation which makes the remaining days of children with a terminal disease mor bearable. We came up with this idea a little while ago. a dear friend of mine,the wife of my best friend, Saskia died
of cancer a few years ago. During her sickness , she noticed that very little is done for the children and their families. She cared about this more than her own situation. A few years ago we tried to set up a weekend for such children and their families, but it never came to that because of all the politics involved by different parties. That is the reason we've started to think about another way to honour her and her fight for a good cause. The result is a non profit benefit cd. A lot of different bands and artists stepped up to join our cause. They donate a song which we can use on the cd. Others decided to take a trip to the studio and record a complete new version a specially for this cause. A few names of parties which will participate are.... Hook Herrera, Julian Sas, Seqoia, The Seatsniffers, Rob Tognoni, Bang Bang Bazooka, Lightning Guy, Vincent Slegers, Defense/Lucky faces, Willeke, Keith Howe, Tommy Allen Band, Tigre Blanco, Chocolate Cheese Feat.Ram Dogg P., Coen Wolters and many more to come.....
We also going to do an acoustic live show with some special guests which will also be recorded and as a special limited edition bonus cd will be included with the cd. The name of the cd will be '29 years, 29 songs'.... 29 was the age of our friend Saz, where this cd will be dedicated to.....
Only 1000 copies of the cd will be available at first.. (when the demand is high enough, we can always order more, off course)
The whole production of this cd, production costs, studio time etc. , will be entirely put together by sponsors. At the moment we are still looking for sponsors and artists to make this project a succes, so if you feel like participating in this project.... please sent a mail to [email protected]
