Agroleite brings together farmers, partners and industry professionals from across Brasilโ€™s dairy sector, creating a great opportunity to share experiences, exchange ideas and talk about the future of dairy farming.

This yearโ€™s theme, โ€œMovidos por um legadoโ€ (Driven by a Legacy), provided a fitting backdrop for many of the conversations we had. The choices we make on farms today are shaping farming for generations to come. From labour and efficiency to automation and data, we spoke with farmers about the challenges they face today and the different ways technology can support the way they work and manage their farms. ๐ŸŒฑ

Alongside our presence at the Lely stand, we also had the opportunity to showcase our solutions beyond our booth. The Lely Juno was demonstrated in practice at commercial dairy farms as part of the Rota do Leite (Milk Route), while the Astronaut A5 was showcased during the Trilha do Leite (Milk Trail). These were valuable opportunities to meet more people, exchange perspectives and continue the conversation beyond our stand.

When visiting a robotic dairy farm, Bruce was struck by the calm atmosphere in the barn and how relaxed the cows were. That experience changed his perspective.

When it came time to replace his ageing rotary parlour, he chose robotic milking to create a system that puts cow welfare first. Today, his cows have the freedom to choose when they are milked, resulting in a calmer herd, while Bruce benefits from greater flexibility and a farm that's ready for the future.

At Sauerlandmilch GbR in Germany, Johannes Schรผtte and his team have been working with Lely since 2011. Over the past 14 years, automation has become an integral part of their daily operations, with automated milking, feeding and manure collection supporting efficient farm management, animal welfare and barn hygiene.

According to Johannes, one of the biggest improvements has been the combination of rubber flooring and the Lely Discovery Collector. Together, they help keep the barn floors drier while providing a good grip for cows.

Looking back on more than 14 years of collaboration with Lely Center Cologne, Johannes values not only the technology, but also the partnership behind it.
