Finally, I’d say that self disclosure involves a story and not history so the way in which one partner discloses more details to another partner is very important. It’s potentially more important than the content of the disclosure content can lose its intimacy in the manner of the telling is the manner of self disclosure that’s detached and one partner deals with himself or herself as an object, and not as an involved subject intimate detail details might be revealed, but those details are either just fax or generality is with no particular meaning so history doesn’t draw two partners closer together story on the other hand is an invitation from one partner to the other partner to become closer. It’s a way of authentic self disclosure because it reveals the manner in which one partners genuinely implicated in some particular details.
