Just over a week ago, the HASERA International Permaculture Design course participants visited Okharbot Organic Farm. Each time it is really great to interact with these enthousiastic permaculture design learners.

We had a look at the farm, especially at all the polyculture in the kitchengardens, the recovery work after last year's floods and the food forest. The group liked the silam and sorghum in our zone 2, as well.

We are looking forward to the next Permaculture Design Course group of HASERA at the end of this year (Hasera Permaculture & Organic Farming)

After the large number of casualties and gutted buildings of the Gen Z protests, we at Okharbot Organic Farm, turned quiet sad and pensive. After a week of the protests the country slowly became calm again. This weekend the Le Sherpa Farmers Market opened again, and Shiva and John attended the market. We saw the scars in the city, but also felt the mood at the market - a bit restless, but also looking forward again.

The Okharbot Organic Farm team will be visiting the market every weekend, also during Dashain. Hope to see you all at Le Sherpa Farmers Market at Saturdays, again. We will send around the order lists on Thursdays, please let us know when you would like to be added to the list.

Today, Maaike De Lange , Balaram and I - John Hummel - are going around the farm. I have not been really at the farm for three months. I was in Bhutan before I went to the Netherlands, and three weeks in Bhutan, after I returned. Now finally back at the farm. The food forest and the larger fields up look very good. The Silam and the Sorghum grow very well. Please visit us at the farm and see how green the farm is. Have a nice day, John
