same as the greengages, we choose fruits to freeze dry based on personal preference, not practicality or financial sense 🤣

i have searched high and low for figs that won't make us bankrupt. unfortunately I only managed to purchase a few hundred pieces before Jason protested against my overspending.

to celebrate the last market of the season, we are introducing brown turkey figs to our market specials!

only 10 bags for tomorrow and would be our most limited release once up on the website ✨️

one month since our first market and it got me reflecting on our hall of failures before launching 💥🚀

we had so many issues and I'm sure there will be plenty more as we refine our process and up production.

so grateful that we were able to problem solve our way out of these situations.

New Product! 🫒

We're very excited to launch our market specials!

Seasonal one off fruits that we do in micro batches. Only a few kgs at a time. Once it's out of season, you will have to wait until next year.

Same packaging year round but the goodies inside can change every week.

First up is my personal fave summer fruit: Greengages!

Story time! 📖

It's been exactly 6 months since I first came up with our business idea.

We were funemployed back in 2022 and traveling NZ during our career break. In between unsuccessful interviews and low ball offers, we seriously started thinking about businesses to start.

Nothing really stuck until last winter during an annual work trip. I came out of an unpleasant work conversation and started aggressively typing out to Jay a rough plan based on previous ideas.

Since then (minus a month long holiday) we have been actively completing steps to try and get to our first market.

Why didn't anyone tell me how many steps are involved?! It's truly a never ending list of things to do and buy 🥲

On the 1st of Feb, we have officially registered to be at the Cromwell Farmers Market! I have to be away for my 9-5 but Jay will be there to get your feedback on our first product ⭐️ See you then!
