I know it's not bread related but I'm making a gross assumption that if you're into bread, you're also into cast iron ware!

Let this be the post that gives you hope when you see an old rust job in the op shop (I found these in our shed)

A good soapy scrub with steelo, a thorough drying, then a Very generous coating of oil. Everywhere. Top, bottom, sides and handle.
Pop in a cold oven and turn to 100°C (bake) and leave for an hour. Turn off, leave it to cool then rub in any surplus oil (paper towels are what you need)

Boom! 🥘

Sourdough Cheat... if you don't have a spare 12 hours to let your sourdough-dough prove,
throw a half teaspoon or teaspoon of yeast in your mix to speed things along. Will cut the proving time by half, easy 😉

Hame and I certainly stopped posting on here but we haven't stopped baking and we've got some recipes and tips and tricks that we're keen to re-start sharing and keep you inspired ✨️
