Thank you everyone who visited today for our Spring re opening. Stallholders & visitors had a great day.
Back to our normal hours going forward Wednesday- Sunday.

Well the snow wasn’t in our game plan today. Anyway everyone coped.
Back in the early 2000’s when we had our big snow - our Kune Larry got up for the morning & looked around in disbelief- as if to say- what have you done with my grass!
Where as / our kitten Charles- thought it was marvellous. Zoomed around/ throwing himself into the snow on his tummy , & gliding along.

So while we are closed I need to work on highlighting our animals & need to start with our name & why i started the farm.
A lot of people ask how we came by our name.
My heritage is Scottish & maiden name was Ramsay.
The family seat was Dalhousie Castle in Mid Lothian.
The Ramsay’s are the longest seat holders of over 800 years, & have connections with supporting William Wallace.
Dalhousie Castle has been a luxury hotel for many years & we’ve had the privilege of visiting & staying twice.
So hence the farm name is from my first name ( Glenda) & the castle area.

So we had a surprise this week with our Lorikeet Charlie - we’ve had him for about 2 years & a few months ago had another re homed to us called Rangi.
This week we discovered an egg in Charlies house! So Charlie is not whom we thought! 😆
The two hung out together - so there may be the possibility the egg is fertilised .
