BeeHavinn / Bee keeping Team /Waikato New Zealand.
Definitely starting to warm up now and with that we have been out there collecting a few bee swarms recently . We thank those that have helped swarms by keeping them safe from any harm or disturbance and making contact with your trusted local bee keeping team BeeHavinn.
Have you wondered why when seeing a swarm the reason? Just some bee swarm facts for the day π
π» Colony reproduction / increase hive population.
π― Leaving limited space for worker bee's to store honey.
πΈ Leaving limited space for the queen to lay her eggs.
π Warmer seasons spring /summer more pollen and necture flowing allowing our hives to reach full strength.
π¦ Pests, infestation, disease, poor ventilation and home environment.
Factors like these the bee's end up splitting up into new colonies some may stay and the rest leaves to find a new home build and strengthen its new colony.
When you see swarms they are wait together while their troops to find them a new home. They not any danger to us as they have nothing to guard and Protect. So no aggression towards you unless they feel under threat by you. To avoid this keep distance, don't try to harm or destroy them simply contact your local bee keepers to help.
