Meet Beaver Fever 🦫

This dessert stout is loaded with layers of rich maple syrup 🍁, caramel, smooth bourbon warmth 🥃, and finished with a cheeky pinch of sea salt to keep you coming back for another sip.

Beaver Fever lands at an ABV of 8.9%

(Christchurch, New Zealand 🇳🇿) have brought out this red banger! They’ve kindly given me a few cans to try (and do you can see the full in all its glory!). It’s called Pohutukawa Sunset - Red NZIPA and has a 5.9%ABV

Described as “Deep ruby-red to burnished copper with excellent clarity, Vibrant fusion of tropical and citrus notes backed with caramel, toasted toffee and hints of biscuit. Chewy red malts provide a smooth, rounded mouthfeel with flavours of caramelised sugar, light toffee. These are lifted by bright tropical fruit and white wine notes Finishes a lingering interplay of citrus peel bitterness and soft malt sweetness, with a dry, refreshing tail.” As mentioned it looks amazing and red IPAs are relatively rare in NZ. Slightly caramel tinted foamy head with a rich red colour on the beer. It does have a lot more fruity and citrus notes than most Red IPAs that normally focus more on the biscuity caramel side of things. This still has that so quite a tasty combination with a bit of bitterness coming through too!

Here’s a delayed post from me - apologies! This stunning looking beer is from (Blenheim, Marlborough, New Zealand 🇳🇿) and is called Hazy Haitian - Cruisy Caribbean Hazy IPA that they have kindly gifted me. It has a 6%ABV

Described as “Go on mon, lay back and feel da Caribbean vibes of our Hazy Haitian brew.
Dis sun drenched combo of Azacca hops and #16660 will bring all da flavas of tropical fruit - citrus, mango, papaya, tangerine and pineapple.
Not a sign of bitterness to be seen. Hüll Melon and El Dorado adding to the fruit salad.”
As I said the can looks amazing - very colourful! The beer itself pours amazing too - look at that head what a hop selection in there.
Aroma has tropical notes with some citrus possibly lime. Thick hazy mouthfeel going on. Zestiness to go with the tropical fruits - bit of mango slightly bitter while still being sweet.

4.25/5 my rating great tasting beer.

Auckland brewery Brothers Beer have this tidy little Pilsner out called Peacenik - NZ Pilsner which they’ve kindly gifted and which has a 5%ABV.
Very colourful canart there! Beautiful looking beer, lovely white foamy head and aroma with usual Pilsner notes complemented with citrusy lime notes.

Clean crisp taste again with those citrusy notes. Very enjoyable and easy to drink.
