From Friday, July 4th, we will also be on DoorDash. DoorDash customers have been asking to add us to their platform, and so they reached out to us yesterday.
We have been operating on UberEats for almost five months now, and it has been a great learning experience.
With a 4.7 out of 5-star rating and 380+ reorders, I am really proud of the food we produce. People have said they cannot believe we have not gone viral. Not going viral is a good thing for us at the moment, because we do not have the capacity right now, but as we build our business, we will be able to acquire the equipment we need to improve our processes and productivity.
Jas still works full-time to keep us afloat, then comes home to help out with her magic. She is the one who comes up with all the ideas, and I just work on them.
We started this on one of Jas' fortnightly pays and got bits and pieces on Afterpay along the way, so it is possible for those of you thinking about starting your own thing - you just have to do a bit of financial juggling.
We are aiming for both of us to be full-time at our own business. Yes, it means 24/7 attention, and it is a grind, but as my late uncle Maurits used to say to me, 'Vancie, there is no substitute for hard work.'
If you are an existing customer of ours, or want to try some of our stuff, please know that a lot of love and passion goes into it to put a smile on your face.
We have a couple of wholesale customers as well, so if you are interested in that side of things, we can at least have a chat about it.
