How I set up 240+ sourdough items for sale on market day!
I display a few of everything on tables, and then keep the rest of my stock in large bins behind my table and restock as needed.
🌱 I've recently switched my bread packaging from bags with clear windows to foodsafe solid paper bread bags. These are more cost effective, fully recyclable, and "healthier" for the bread by not causing condensation if the sun is hitting us. Because of this I like to display 1 of everything out of the bag on clean paper so people can visually see whats in the bag.
🌞 I group like with like, and have clear signage of what's what. When people come over I also point and explain to them the main groupings of my products to help lessen the overwhelm and help them find what they're looking for.
⛰️ Various heights add interest! So I like to have one shelf and stack my loaves that are displayed.
🎀 If there is a single item of one kind left, I'll move it closer to another product. People don't usually like to take the last of an item so pairing it with a friend can help 🤝
When I sell out, I pack it all down and use my trolley cart to do a couple loads back and forth to my van, and then drive home to rejoin the family (usually in time for lunch - thank you, community!!).
