TikTok reminded me that 1 year ago today, we bought our food cart.

It’s honestly unbelievable that it’s already been a year.

The idea came out of me wanting to build something of my own while I was struggling at my regular 9-5.

It was only supposed to be something fun we’d do once or twice a month, but it’s become something much busier that genuinely fulfils me.

It can’t go without saying thank you to everyone who has supported us make it happen, especially my partner Jeremy who I don’t think really realised what he was signing up for 😂

We’ve met incredible people, been welcomed into our local community, and created memories we’ll never forget.

We’ve learnt so much, not just about business but about ourselves and that sometimes the biggest opportunities come from taking a chance on yourself.

We still dont know exactly where this venture will take us but we’re still committed to serving great food, supporting our community, and becoming a local favourite that people know they can count on.

Thank you for being part of our first year.

Wow… we’ve finally had a chance to sit down and process the last 24 hours.

To everyone who came to see us at Matariki last night, thank you.

The support was honestly overwhelming. You queued for what probably felt like forever, waited patiently for your food, and completely sold us out. We have never experienced anything like it.

We can’t thank you enough for your patience, kindness, and encouragement throughout the night.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who chose to support us, shared kind words, left smiling, and made it a night we’ll never forget.

Thank you, Nelson. We’ll be back, better prepared and ready to serve you even faster next time. ❤️🍟
