Kia ora whānau | Malo soifua aiga
This is not am announcement of our next bbq dates - as we've said, we'll be back after New Years time, just thinking about all the whānau who'll be going away in this time 🎊
Our reasoning for coming down to Auckland and doing a pop-up sale, was for all our followers here. And we have a massive appreciation for all the whānau who came thru, whānau who gifted plates on, even 1 whānau from Home coming thru.
This comment below, is from a post on our behalf in the Manurewa page ✨️ who doesn't know our story, our beginning, nothing. Just judged off our picture.
They didn't know we started at $20 plates.
They didn't know that the $25 price change has always been encouraged by whānau
They don't know we live in Kaikohe and this is where we started.
They didn't know a thing.
But with EVERY feedback we've gotten, and most has been negative, I save it in my notes, and it's the negative comments that push me to do better in the kitchen. To test kai in the midst of sales....Really doing the best behind the scenes type shhh
And, we lived in the heart of Rewa for YEARS!! So we know about the food life down there 💯
But we didn't go down there to compete.
We didn't go down there to be better.
Our intentions were genuine and just an opportunity for the following we have in Auckland.
We've believed from the get go there is always going to be room for improvement. That EVERY feedback helps us to grow and thrive.
We'll come back in 2026 stronger and the same we've been since we began. Aiming for the stars and serving you our unique chicken and surimi salad (that most plates don't have in Auckland either, maybe the Boneless Chicken, but not a surimi salad like ours) 🎊
Stay safe and stay blessed over the festive season whānau | aiga
