Mitana Quarter Horse Stud are passionate about cultivating the best international bloodlines for the pleasure and performance riders of New Zealand. 🏁🐴 AND THE RACE IS ON!🐴🏁

There's a bit of a competition brewing in the maternity ward at Mitana Quarter Horse Stud! 😂

🥇 IN ONE CORNER – KIMMY!
Riarmas Just Gawjust

Waxed up for THREE nights, looking ready to pop and keeping management on high alert! Could there be an impatient little filly in there who's decided she's ready to make her grand entrance? 🎀👀

🥈 IN THE OTHER CORNER – COOKIE!
YLS Cookie Monster

It's officially past her due date! But being a maiden, she's keeping her cards close to her chest! 👀 Could there be a c**t in there who's perfectly content where he is, with absolutely no intention of making an appearance until he's good and ready, just like Maverick? 💙😂

🏆 WHO'S GOING TO CROSS THE FINISH LINE FIRST?!

Only time will tell... but apparently Lily's blatant disregard for her eviction notice has set a dangerous precedent, and Kimmy and Cookie look determined to follow suit and continue the maternity ward rebellion!

Management is rapidly losing control 🫣

✨ MEET THE MARES MONDAY ✨

After a little interruption to our Monday programming thanks to Maverick's long-awaited arrival, we're back introducing our beautiful mares!🐴

And what better way to return than by introducing the third and final daughter of Good Prophecy in our lineup!

🌸 LT MIDNIGHT SPECIAL – "BLOSSOM" 🌸

Good Prophecy × One Moore Invitation

By now, you're all becoming quite familiar with the incredible bloodlines of Good Prophecy, having already met his daughters Koda and Sonny! So today, we're turning our attention to Blossom's equally impressive maternal pedigree. ✨

Blossom's dam, One Moore Invitation, comes from a family of true Quarter Horse royalty!

Her grandsire, the legendary Invitation Only, was the No. 1 AQHA Leading Sire for four consecutive years, with an incredible legacy of World Champions, Congress Champions and outstanding performance horses.

Her granddam, Ms Hot Medicine, was herself a World Champion and a producer of Congress and Futurity Champions!

With such an impressive combination of proven bloodlines on both sides of her pedigree, Blossom is another beautiful addition to our broodmare lineup here at Mitana Quarter Horse Stud. 💛

And with that, we've officially introduced all three of our beautiful Good Prophecy daughters! 🥰🐴

💙🐴 INTRODUCING MAVERICK! 🐴💙

After overstaying his eviction notice, keeping us all waiting and finally making his grand entrance at 2am, our little man officially has a stable name! 🥳

Meet MAVERICK! 💙

Now, as for his registered name… well, that's another story! 😂

With over 1,000 name suggestions from you all (yes, ONE THOUSAND! 🤯), we are still working through the very extensive list!

Apparently naming a foal is harder than getting one evicted! 🤦‍♀️😂

His registered name is still TO BE DETERMINED, but one thing's for sure… Maverick already knows how to make an entrance! 🥰🐴

Thank you to everyone who joined in the naming fun! Stay tuned… we've still got a winner to pick! 🏆💙

🚨 EVICTION SUCCESSFUL — THE TENANT HAS FINALLY VACATED! 🚨

It turns out Lily had a perfectly good reason for completely ignoring her official eviction notice…

Perfection takes time. 💙✨

A gorgeous c**t by First Thingz First, out of Littlestone Look I’m Lazy. 🐴💙

Mum and baby are doing great and we couldn’t be happier to finally have him here.

The tenant is officially OUT — and he was absolutely worth the wait. 💙🥳

🚨 OFFICIAL EVICTION NOTICE 🚨

PROPERTY: Lily's belly

REASON FOR EVICTION: Tenant has exceeded the agreed occupancy period and has an audience eagerly awaiting arrival!

🐴✨MEET THE MARES MONDAY ✨🐴

This week, meet Sonny — Sonnys Fancy Profit💛

Another beautiful daughter of our late stallion Good Prophecy.

Her sire, Good Prophecy, was a son of the legendary AQHA Hall of Fame stallion Zippos Mr Good Bar, out of Iron Leota— a multiple World Champion and Superior Pleasure Horse producer, herself a daughter of AQHA Champion and Superior Western Pleasure horse Iron Rebel.

Good Prophecy went on to become a highly successful and incredibly versatile sire, producing multiple World, National, State and Futurity Champions across Ranch Riding, Ranch Rail, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Trail, Halter, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Hunt Seat Equitation and Dressage. He reached #4 Leading Sire in Australia and remains among the Top 10 Leading Performance Sires in Category 1. 🏆

Her dam, Fancy That Colonel, is by Cuttabars Colonel, an AQHA point earner across general performance, cutting and reining, bringing the influence of the legendary Colonel Freckles into Sonny's pedigree.

✨ Pleasure breeding meets performance blood — and the result is our Sonny.✨

Another special mare we're very proud to have as part of the Mitana broodmare band. 💛🐴
