Spent some time out with the triplet lambs this evening. Can't believe how well they are growing. They are starting to come up and eat the grain the ewes are getting now, which is fantastic as its taking the pressure off the ewes a bit

ASMR?

Some wee new additions to the farm. I picked them up when they were around 5 days old from a local dairy farm. They will get milk twice a day for the next few weeks. They will gradually start nibbling at grass, hay and grain thats offered. Soon that food will become more of their diet than the milk and they will be ready to be weaned at around 100kgs. We then sell them to other locals who buy them as pets or grow them out for a couple of years to feed their family.

Can we not please!

🐑 I have know this guy since the day he was born. He's my mate. He's a bit of a dick at times but he keeps life interesting. I think he sleeps so deeply because he feels safe with us 🤍 but it doesn't do my heart any good when he does this! His ear was blowing in the breeze and from where I was, I couldn't see him breathing.

He's fine ❤️

Racing through the weekend like... 🐕💨

This could have ended very differently if we weren't there to check on them!

🐑 Both ewes were so preoccupied with the others scents and hormones that they wouldn't lay down and fully commit to giving birth. Luckily we were able to intervene, help each ewe and keep them separate so they could each bond with their lambs without worrying about the other lambs. What a great result 👏🏻

Some weeks are so quiet that the dogs go a bit stir crazy 🤪, then the following week it could be non stop for them!

Couldn't do my job without them, and im thankful everyday for their loyalty

Triplets... AGAIN!?! 🐑🐑🐑

This is set number 11, by far a record for us.

🐑 Ewe looks healthy and plenty of milk, 2 lambs are big and strong, the third is smaller, so we will watch them closely and offer the lamb a bottle if its not keeping up.

🌞 Isn't is so quiet and peaceful
