Another great planting day at our Hauturu farm in Pukekawa.

For the third year running, we’ve teamed up with Trees for Survival and Pukekawa School to plant native trees, helping protect waterways and enhance local biodiversity.

A big thanks to everyone who got involved and helped make the day such a success.

We’re incredibly proud to share that James Blair has been named the 2026 New Zealand Young Grower of the Year!
After winning the Pukekohe regional title earlier this year, James progressed to the national final in Cromwell, competing against six regional champions from across the country.
The competition tested finalists across practical, technical and professional disciplines, including horticultural knowledge, problem-solving, leadership and communication.
James represented A.S. Wilcox with professionalism, humility and excellence throughout the competition. This is an outstanding and thoroughly deserved achievement.
Congratulations, James. We’re all incredibly proud of you!

Spotted a sprout? It’s all part of the process.

Sprouting is a natural part of a potato’s growth cycle and can happen as the weather starts to warm up.

If the sprouts are small, simply flick them off, then cook and enjoy your potatoes as usual.

Easy as that.

Our new season Perlas are coming along beautifully up in Northland, and they’ll be landing in supermarkets from September.

These gourmet baby potatoes are perfect simply boiled, tossed in butter and finished with a little salt and fresh herbs.
