BAKER/COOK JOB OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a reliable baker/cook to join our small, busy bakery and café. This role is approximately 30 hours per week and could be morning or afternoon shifts. It will be weekdays - and Saturdays only as required - and predominantly back of house. Previous baking experience is a requirement.
Bakery working hours are weekdays 5am - 5.30pm and Saturdays 6am - 4.30pm.
This is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast paced kitchen, takes pride in producing quality food, and can work well as part of a small team.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Preparing and cooking a range of breakfast and lunch items
Baking slices, muffins, scones and loaves
Baking pies, sausage rolls, savouries and quiches when the main baker is away
Preparing and cooking pie fillings as required
Following recipes and maintaining consistent quality and presentation
Managing food preparation, stock rotation and kitchen cleanliness
Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
Working efficiently during busy service periods
Keeping the kitchen organised, clean and well stocked and washing dishes
