We have 100 Friesian bulls available, weighing 110–120kg, with a minimum weight of 110kg.

They have been professionally reared and well cared for on our farm and have had:

✅ Multimin on arrival
✅ Coglavax 8-in-1 vaccination x 2
✅ Piliguard Pinkeye vaccination x 1
✅ Probiotics for a minimum of 5 weeks on farm
✅ Regular drenching as part of our monitored drench programme

It's been a busy few months on the farm!

🌱 We finished the autumn season with 6,818 calves.
💧 We upgraded our effluent system to ensure we're meeting compliance requirements.
🥛 We invested in additional vats and chillers, increasing our chilled storage capacity. Got surplus milk? Give us a call! 😉
🐄 We're trialling a mesh floor in our small shed, eliminating the need for barking while improving cleanliness and supporting better animal health.
🌼 The spring calving season is well underway with 2,750 spring calves already on farm - we look forward to what the rest of the season brings!

A couple of frosty mornings but we sure have had some beautiful days! Here's to a productive spring for everyone. 🐮

Fixed-Term Calf Rearer / Shed Helper Wanted - 5 minutes from Te Awamutu

We are looking for a reliable Calf Rearer / Shed Helper to join our team on a fixed-term basis, starting mid/late July through until October. This is a drive in role.

Reporting to the Head Calf Rearer, this is a hands-on role working with young calves, where animal welfare and attention to detail are a top priority.

Key Responsibilities

• Feeding and caring for calves
• Monitoring calf health and reporting any concerns
• Mixing milk and preparing feed
• Cleaning and maintaining calf sheds and equipment
• Assisting with general farm and shed duties
• Operating a quad bike to carry out daily tasks
• Following animal welfare, health and safety, and hygiene procedures

What We're Looking For

• Reliable, honest, and punctual
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good attention to detail
• Must be confident and competent riding a quad bike
• Must have at least basic farming experience or an understanding of the dairy or calf rearing industry. Previous calf rearing experience is preferred.

Hours of Work

• Fixed-term position from now until October
• Full-time, 5 days per week
• Rostered to work every second weekend, with approximately 5 hours per day on rostered weekends

There’s plenty going on here.
Just over 800 autumn calves on farm - with plenty more still to arrive. Arriving at roughly 4 days old and reared to 100kgs minimum.

We’re not just trying to be bigger.
We’re working every day to be better - better systems and better care.
