Hartfell Boudicea

Boudicea was the queen of the Iceni, an ancient British tribe, who lead her forces against the Roman invaders. She burnt London to the ground, twice.
Although the Romans eventually defeated her, she left such a mark that the earth remembers her (look up the Boudicea Layer) and she is still considered a British heroine, a symbol of strength and justice.

A big name for a big filly ❤️

My first purebred shire horse foal ✨️

Savvy chose a perfectly lovely night to have her baby on, which is simply, not in the middle of a thunderstorm.
Sol could take some notes...

She took some time working out those long legs but has found the milk bar and pooped and that's all we can ask for at not even 4 hours old.
Savvy is a very loving mother and I can't wait to see them both in the daylight.
