2022 Calf Marking
We are taking bookings for Knucklebone Lodge and Neil’s Whare for the Summer, come and enjoy a break and our hospitality on our beautiful iconic Wairarapa sheep and beef station
18months ago we started renovating what is known to all as the ”men’s quaters” the men’s quaters is a little old building that had become unliveable on the station.
Fast forward 18months now we have a fully renovated and furnished house now known as “Neil’s Whare” in memory of the late Neil Richardson.
We are also taking bookings to rent this wee cottage out for a weekend or holiday!
Unfortunately there was not an “official” groundswell protest in Masterton today, however that did not stop the locals around the Wairarapa showing their support. These regulations the government are proposing don’t only affects us here and now, it affects the next generation as well as the unborn generations. Zoe was able to go along and show her support on behalf of us all.
Ali & Head of Customer Happiness aka Katie had the absolute pleasure and a fab night attending The 25th Great New Zealand Sausage Competition in Auckland last night. Newbies on the block and industry recognition we are stoked to have been awarded the Silver Award in the Caspak Traditional Category for our Pork n Watercress Sausages.
The butchery boys will be making a fresh batch today ahead of the long weekend so don't forget to add them to you list of things to try if you haven't already!!!!!

Boys have been hard at work getting up some New fences before docking
Scanning 2021 all finished, we scanned over three days and our overall percentage was our best yet with 176% with only scanning for singles and twins. Proudly our A ewes that were mated with a perendale/Finn/texel rams from one stop ram shop scanned 183%. With our dry rate only being an overall average of 1.5%. Fox terrier Bruce is showing how he can be a huntaway too.
