LeaderBrand was established in 1975 by Murray McPhail when he took over the family sheep and cattle farm, converting it to grow his first crop of potatoes. With some grit, ingenuity and a whole lot of hard work, LeaderBrand evolved from a small family venture to New Zealand’s leading horticulture business,

Welcome to our Gisborne Nursery, this is where it all begins for many of our crops 🌱 These baby leaf lettuces started as a tiny seed 60 days ago and have now grown into strong seedlings ready to be planted soon. Then they are hand harvested and ready to hit your plate in about 70 days 🥗

Give Dayna a big high-five 🙌 She stepped up this week to represent LeaderBrand at the Pukekohe Young Grower of the Year competition, hosted by Hort NZ. She completed a variety of modules over the entire day, covering everything from marketing and finance to pest management and tractor driving. 🚜

She might not have taken home the top title, but she gave it everything, showing real determination, hard work, and plenty of prep behind the scenes. We’re seriously proud of you, Dayna. Thanks for flying the LeaderBrand flag and inspiring the whole team 💚
