At Māwhitipana Ridge Estate, drone spraying allows us to care for our Waiheke Island vineyard with greater precision and a lighter footprint.

By reducing heavy machinery through the rows, we help protect soil structure, minimise compaction and respond more carefully to the needs of each season.

It is one of the ways we continue to honour the land that shapes every bottle and we are proud to make it a Waiheke first!

Set within a sunlit coastal valley on Waiheke Island, this single-site vineyard produces only small quantities of Syrah and Marsanne, allowing each vintage to tell the story of one place, one season and one philosophy.

Driven by a commitment to kaitiakitanga, the two families behind Māwhitipana Ridge are restoring the land while crafting wines with genuine provenance. Heavy clay soils, cooling coastal influences and low-intervention viticulture come together under the guidance of acclaimed winemakers Michael Wood and Heinrich Storm to produce wines of purity, texture and unmistakable sense of place.

This Saturday, you’ll have the rare opportunity to meet the makers, hear the story behind the vineyard and taste these limited-release wines alongside the people who know them best.
