An absolutely beautiful spring day for our 2026 Yearling Bull Sale today!

A strong crowd attending with great prices received. All bulls sold with Hereford bulls averaging $5,171 and a top of $11,000 for Lot 17 while Angus bulls sold for an average of $5,815 and top of $8,000 for Lot 4.

A huge thanks to all of our buyers both return clients and new, our stock agents from PGG Wrightson Livestock and NZ Farmers Livestock - Waikato. Our numerous sale supporters (CoroVets, Silver Fern Farms, Halter, FMG, Whyteline) and all our helpers of the sale for making the day a great success!

Super deep, soft and thick in all the right places with a strong head, smooth walk and big nuts! (Scrotal EBV of +5) He is a son of the renowned Taimate Roy R38 and is the first calf for his dam, a very good, moderate and well uddered daughter of Kincardine Rainstorme R25!

He is a standout Fireball son that we have loved since birth! Long and deep with tremendous disposition, beautiful cosmetics and a very strong sireโ€™s head that he carries so well. A complete and balanced dataset comes with him too!

We are excited to this year offer a strong lineup of 28 Hereford & 15 Angus Yearling bulls. Its been great to have spent the last few days starting to properly photograph the team & our online Hereford catalogue is now live (Link in comments) with Angus not too far behind, along with physical copies available in the next few weeks!

Sale is to be held on the farm at Waihi Beach & online with Bidr on the 3rd September 2026, 12:30pm.

Lots of new and exciting genetics have started to arrive from our AI program over the last week including a few by Australian Angus sire Millah Murrah Trigger T308! Loving the style and depth already on display in this 7 day old daughter. ๐Ÿคฉ

Her dam, Stokman Lexie U1 is a 3 year old Stokman Solution S329 daughter and a top young cow! Her 2025 born bull calf, W26 has been catalogued as lot 7 in our upcoming September Bull Sale!!!

Calving is underway for 2026 with plenty of new arrivals already on the ground and a whole lot more due in the next few weeks! This 4 year old cow by Matariki Lieutenant Dan surprised us with a nice set of Maranui Fireball sired twins early this morning!
She has been super quiet and easy to handle and is beautifully uddered, exactly what we expect from all of our cows!!

Shifting our mob of 57 younger mixed aged cows this morning, all looking in great condition! Weโ€™re about 5 months into having Halter collars on the cows and so far theyโ€™re working really well, especially by enabling cows to graze paddocks more efficiently and for longer.

The whole cow herd will be through the yards next week for pre calving checks as we get ready for our first calves due to arrive in just under a monthโ€™s time! Very busy and exciting times ahead!!
