Manuka Cottage Valais Blacknose Sheep Manuka Cottage Valais is a boutique stud based in Waimate, South Canterbury. We have a mix of purebred and breed up Valais Blacknose sheep.

Our flock is registered with New Zealand Valais Blacknose Sheep Society, and are all stud registered stock.

Manuka Cottage Trinity saying hi to Manuka Cottage Zelda.
The wee dot is doing fantastic and hitting all her milestones well. I think she's going to be an absolute cracker - brilliant outcome for us and stunning wee F3 pile of sass. She enjoyed a day with no jersey on - lovely to have such great warmth today.

Manuka Cottage Zelda - lil miss sass.
Her maiden momma Zoe was a bit worried about her nursing and panicked everytime she got underneath. So she had a couple of bottle feeds of colostrum to make sure she had enough antibodies, and tonight we were able to pen them and hold mumma while the wee dot drank.
Now they are good as gold and wee Zelda is nursing really well so yay that's a win.

Just adore this girl and although overmarked I really love her look. As we are really just breeding for our own pleasure and not showing I am happy to give a home to a mismarked ewe. And what a special wee soul this lass is.
She has a really nice fleece style too - super nourished locks. Really looking forward to breeding from her. One of my foundation purebred ewes.
