It’s approx 3-4 weeks out from when tulips will be in store, but these decided to pop out prematurely when all the others are still cosy and tucked in the dirt😅

Is there ever a right time? There’s no right time, so now seems like a good time.

From Autumn/End May 2027 - I will be downscaling my growing significantly and Miss Tayla and I will only be focussing on dahlias that will be available online next year.

Up to then, we are in full flowering mode to bring you blooms for 2026 and heading into 2027.

I am undertaking a project that will take up the majority of my time and headspace/focus for at least 10 months, maybe longer😅

Like housework! Sometimes, we just have to do what we have to do, rather than doing what we like to do!

Not a standard week⬇️

Mon…
I started and finished uploading 30+ dahlia varieties to the website to go live the first day after Labour Weekend, one thing I thought would never happen!

Tuesday…
I organised sprouting spuds and other vege stuff, we like spuds! Feeding eight, spuds are gold🤣, then another full box arrived of main crop😅

Wed…
Admiring frost art, checking on garlic and strawberry growth, waiting for the ground to thaw so I can get planting.

Thurs…
Admiring my gorgeous gigantic w**d at 9.30am in the sun, covered in pretty frost before I can w**d and get stuff planted, hair dressers while waiting for the ground to thaw.

Fri…
OMG “Just like Christmas”, all I wanted to do was go digging deep into our container to find decs at 11am. WHY? Because it was so gorgeous and pretty from head to toe covered, the only time I think I have loved fog for sticking around. Perfect for a mid winter Xmas Brunch!
Many cute pots also arrived, which meant, back to reality, Xmas is over, ground needs to thaw🤣.

Sat..
Make pretty things, that you hope they like😬, plus an impromptu stock flower glued to leaves trial out of water in 24 deg heat. 7hrs, great so far. Should have trusted my gut instinct on these beauties. You’re welcome if you were ever wondering how these beauties hold up out of water😘

Hello real winter, it’s been years since these consecutive days !
This morning’s frozen art at -4.2. How much can someone manipulate tomorrow’s mornings frozen art already frozen at 8.45pm into something floral…do I have the patience😅

Today’s taking care of chaos chore was getting this quarter all w**ded, amended and planted😳
It appears 11.30 am is too early. The ground was stil frozen, I picked the worst spot to grow!
Tomorrow is looking better for an earlier start. Loving the stunning days but consecutive -4 deg days isn’t great to stick to a plan. Might have to get a blankey out for each bed or start night shift😅😳

How easy is it to lose an entire variety…very easy. Every single stem had rotted through. A first for me.
