PURE New Zealand Ice Cream is a truly natural, handmade, artisan ice cream made with passion and pri

We use only the finest, natural ingredients carefully sourced from as close to home as possible. From plump berry ice creams, sorbets and gelatos loaded with local fruits - to Belgian Chocolate ice creams using 72% Barry Callebaut - our flavours are naturally intense and original. No artificial stabilisers, emulsifiers or gelatine are ever used. All our products are certified 100% gluten-free and peanut free and our gelatos and sorbets are certified dairy-free.

A summary of our first month as ice cream business owners🎢

I’ve jump started our vintage forklift more times than I can count, at this point I probably know more about forklifts than ice cream

We’ve thrown out a whole batch of ice cream 😥

My business partner (husband Ted) has moved a mountain of cardboard boxes

I got the flu, developed pneumonia and eczema. Questioning my decision to leave a job with fantastic sick leave benefits.

We’ve eaten way too much ice cream. Dangerously close to eating more than we’re selling.

Loving life in Wanaka. Surviving, not (yet!) thriving in business 😬

Hi, I’m Maddi….the proud new owner of PURE New Zealand Ice Cream!

We sold our home, I quit my corporate job and moved our family to Wanaka to make ice cream.

Sounds a bit crazy but we’ve never been scared to try something new.
