If you’ve never noticed grapevines flowering before, it’s worth a closer look. You can tell when they’re getting ready. And suddenly they’re in flower. Before you know it, they’re done and on the way to producing precious little berries.

If you have spent any time at Dara Vineyard cottage, you would have seen or heard our rooster Elvis. This enormous australorp has been one of our longest, most colourful residents. Yesterday, after nine years, he, as they say, left the building. We’ll remember his gentlemanly manners, when he let his hens eat first and would herd them back to the safety of the coop in the evenings.
