Sorry for the late post.
Last weekend we made the trick up to Hampton Iowa to compete in our last KCBS event of the year. Got the pleasure of seeing our great friends Smokey Bros Barbecue get their first KCB 1st place rib call!!!! Congratulations guys you are definitely making us sweat😅
Also got to help Ms Ava with her first ever backyard contest That was amazing

6th overall

Not too shabby considering the absolutely stacked field.

After last year event people have asked if smoke out cancer was returning. Yes it is!!!! This year’s benefactor is Steve Carfrae. Many of you know Steve as one of our amazing local judges that push us to cook better. From his experience as a cook and judge he definitely helps us raise the bar.

Earlier this year Steve was diagnosed with leukemia. He has a long road ahead of him going through treatments. Let’s give him hand up!!!!

Dm me directly if interested in donating, judging, cooking or just helping out. I will have an entry form ready.
This will be 3 meat
Chicken - bring your own
Ribs- provided
Pork loin- provided
Friday night steak burn- $25 bring your own ribeye

Ok to start off it has been a craaazy last couple weeks. But here we go!!

Started off last weekend with our annual Whiskers & Vets at The Rock event where we served 125 veterans and volunteers. Huge shout out to our amazing bbq family for showing their support and coming out. First I’d like to thank is Kevin Heese aka THE Weekend Bum BBQ himself for making the trip from KC to volunteer and help cook. Then I’d like to thank Bradley Vollmer from Meat’s My Mistress BBQ Sauce and Competition Team for making the trip up from central MO Friday night to help us out. Then Mitch Heath from Lovely Jubbly BBQ made trip from central Wisconsin. Then Jeremy Hunolt AKA the workds greatest action hero made the trip up from southern iowa. Lastly we got to catch up with our friends Second Hand Smoke Iowa Brant Champoux and Sarah. Great to see you guys. So thank you to everyone that helped put this on. Thank you to Bryan Odom ftom SoFa King Awesome Products for donating a case of his world famous OG rub for the vets. Thank you to Daniel Crooked Crooks for donating a line up of his amazing sauces. Truly can not put into words how much it means to me that you guys came to help.

Then we turned around dead headed to miles Iowa for Great River Threshers BBQ Contest to try and keep the momentum alive. Well we weren’t last 😂🤣
