It has come to the attention of the undersigned that some unscrupulous taxi drivers chartered by tourists visiting the municipality were collecting aside from the fare, Environmental Fee/s due to the Municipal Local Government of Atok, Benguet from their passengers but deliberately fail or refuse to pay the same to the concerned municipal office.
Please be informed that the collection of Environmental Fees due to the municipality was not delegated or allowed to be collected by anyone e.g. taxi drivers, owners/ operators of the tourism sites in the locality or any private individual. Only personnel of the Municipal Treasury Office were authorized collectors of the fees mentioned. Any arrangement/ agreement you entered into with anyone (e.g. travel and tour packages) related to the same will not in any way bind the Municipal Local Government Unit. Moreover, the municipal government only recognizes transactions covered or issued with Official Receipts.

For a hassle-free tour, you are required to just present your Official Receipt/s of Environmental Fee/s at the different tourism site/s as an initial requirement prior to your entry at the different sites of the municipality.
