Carolina Reaper Garlic Hotsauce, the hottest damn hot sauce I ever made using Carolina Reapers.
Looking at the bottle, it already has that intimidating color, indicating that this sauce is not to be messed around. This category of hotsauce is under superhots; you can expect a wide range of heat, though the majority of them start at over 1 million SHU. Some will approach or surpass 2 million SHU.
Under the bottle cap, you will find a heat-resistant adhesive foam encased with a black shrink wrap. Once open, you are greeted with a strong scent of floral and vinegar for that Louisiana-style hotsauce.
Flavorwise, expect that this category of hot sauce falls under superhot peppers; the peppers are overpowering, and mostly these types of blends are just pure heat; there is no flavor at all except for a tangy taste because of the cider vinegar; you can only get arroma for this blend.
How hot is it? Tasting the sauce itself is hot. Not the typical heat you get from normal peppers, the reapers are fast acting; even with a small drop, it has that instant effect that can get you sweating and getting a glass of water. When making your own hot sauce, you get to be the first one to try it; it can be exciting as well as a pain in the ass. For my experience, the heat immediately kicks in the lips as well as the tongue, runs down your throat, and has that drum effect in your chest. Of course, if you use it as a food additive, the blend will slightly lower its heat level; it takes two to tango.
This hot sauce blend is for experienced chili lovers who love an extreme spice level. If you are new or just venturing out of the hot sauce heat levels, then this is not for you since the blend itself is just pure heat as it can cause stomach or digestive problems.
