FOOD TRIP LOKAL ‼️
📍Mr. Z Bakery
Tucked inside 888 Bacolod City, Mr. Z Bakery is one of those small, unassuming spots that quietly surprises you. The space itself is cozy and compact, but don’t let the size fool you. Inside is a wide variety of breads, pastries, and drinks that make it hard to choose just one.
Their selection of breads is definitely the highlight. From soft, freshly baked buns to more indulgent, flavor-packed options, you can tell there’s something for every kind of craving. It’s the kind of place where you’ll end up grabbing more than you planned, especially with how inviting everything looks on display. They also offer neatly packed to-go boxes, making it a great option if you’re planning to bring home treats or give them as simple gifts.
For drinks, we tried their Spanish latte. It leans more on the sweeter side compared to what I usually prefer, but it pairs well with their savory breads and pastries, balancing out the flavors nicely.
The floss bun was interesting. It had that creamy, slightly tangy mayonnaise feel, topped with flavors reminiscent of takoyaki. It’s savory, a little playful, and definitely something different from your usual bakery bread.
One of my personal favorites was the orange sponge cake. It’s refreshing and easy to enjoy, especially if you’re not into overly sweet desserts.
And then there’s the sandwich overload - true to its name, it’s packed and filling. Every bite feels generous, with layers of savory goodness that make it a solid option if you’re looking for something heavier and more satisfying.
Overall, Mr. Z Bakery is a hidden gem for bread lovers in Bacolod. It’s simple, affordable, and full of variety. Whether you’re craving something sweet, savory, or just want to explore different kinds of baked treats, this spot is definitely worth a visit.
