It was in the early 2000’s that the late Amy Montinola and her sister developed their Chocolate Cake recipe or what it is now fondly called as “Tita Amy's Cookie Monster”. Nestled in between by a layer of custard filling and topped by rich chocolate icing, the decadent 9”x12” chocolate cake, started out as a mainstay dessert of the Montinola Household during family parties. It was also a sought af
ter present gifted by the family to close friends and relatives. As word came around of Tita Amy’s Cookie Monster and after numerous requests from relatives and friends, Tita Amy started her simple home-based chocolate cake business. Fast forward to today, Tita Amy’s Cookie Monster, has built a small patronage of customers in Bacolod City and has been a staple dessert during celebrations and gatherings.
