๐๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ก๐๐๐! ๐ธโจ
To be honest, I donโt know how Iโm gonna start my caption because, I feel so overwhelmed rn that I wanted to say so many things but I couldnโt put them into words (at this point, Iโm just spitting out whatโs inside my mind), so hear me out. :>
Let me start by sharing my journey in my first year of operating this small business of mine.๐ฉท
๐ญ๐ฒ๐ฎโ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ was made out of my curiosity and being adventurous enough to try new things. At first, I was so hesitant because I knew that I wasn't that good at baking, decorating, and such. But I love baking, and I know for myself that I am really eager to learn and hone this skill of mine. So what I am holding when I decided to try this is my little skills and knowledge and big hopes, dedication, and passion that this small business of mine will work. :> So I practiced for months (that went to years), tried to give free cupcakes and cakes at different occasions and events, and whenever one of my family members is having their birthdays celebrated.
I love baking, and it warms my heart knowing that some people get to enjoy what I've created out of the things I love.
And a week before 2023 started, a year ago, I was able to officially start my sweet journey.
It started with a good friend of mine trusting me with her motherโs birthday cake, my dadโs colleague, asking for a money cake, which is my very first money-pulling cake order, followed by another money cake; an order from one of my neighbors, and the next thing I can remember is that my relatives started to support me and promote my small business as well. I also started trying different things, like fondant cakes, which I really love because theyโre too difficult but fun to do. I also tried various designs that challenged me because I got to make new things I hadnโt done before. But itโs true, โeverything is a first time,โ and you have to try those things to experience them. I am so happy that I really tried, because it gave me the best experiences that I know I will hold on to forever as I continue this journey of mine.
โ๐๐ญ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐จ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐๐ง.โ
A very old saying, but never a lie.
As I continued baking and decorating, I was able to learn new baking techniques, cake and cupcake designs, and other things that are very helpful for me to improve. I was also able to connect with other people (which is quite a challenge for an introvert like me as well), which helped me to start socializing and attend to customer inquiries and requests.
But you know what? This journey of mine wouldnโt be a success without the people around me who trusted me and my skills. So Iโm also writing this to express my warmest gratitude for everyone who supported me throughout this one-year journey full of sweet memories and arts made by yours truly. To my family, relatives, and friends who are continuously supporting me, to the people who are helping me to promote my business, acknowledging my skills, and appreciating my sweet arts, thank you so much. I am beyond grateful to all of you.
This was never an easy path for me to take; running this small business on top of attempting to maintain my health and trying to save my academics while simultaneously attending to all of my organizational duties would be the death of me if I wasnโt able to handle them all. *Shoulder pats*
So before I end this, I would like to thank our Almighty God for gifting me such skills and strength. I know that I wouldnโt be able to do all of this if it wasn't for him.
I promise that I will keep on improving myself and my skills and will come up with more baked and dessert ideas to share with yโall. I promise that I will make myself better to offer better sweet arts with you.
