04 | Time is something we can never get back.
As I get older, I’m realizing that time is one of the most valuable things we have and one of the easiest things to take for granted.
We always think there will be another day.
Another conversation.
Another family dinner.
Another chance to visit.
Another birthday.
Another “I love you.”
Another opportunity to spend time with the people we care about.
But life has a way of reminding us that we are not promised another tomorrow.
Some of the moments I once thought were ordinary are now memories I wish I could experience just one more time.
And that has changed the way I look at time.
I don't want to be so busy building a future that I forget to appreciate the people who are part of my present.
I don't want to keep saying “next time” when I can make time today.
Because money can be earned again.
Things can be replaced.
Opportunities can come again.
But time spent with someone can never be retrieved.
So I'm learning to be more intentional.
Call your parents.
Check on your friends.
Eat together.
Take the pictures.
Stay a little longer.
Listen to their stories.
Make time for the people you love.
Not because every moment has to be extraordinary, but because ordinary moments become precious when we realize we can't have them back.
At 27, I’m learning that one of the greatest ways we can love someone is simply to give them our time.
Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”— Psalm 90:12
Time is a gift from God. And I want to spend mine on the people and things that truly matter. 💛
