Ipongi was founded in 1902 but it took 20 years for it to be Fukuiโ€™s largest sake producer. The Nambu method that they used required a colder climate which is why they built their factory in Katsuyama, known for their heavy snowfall. Their sakes are known for being dry and crisp. We have three of their best sake: Karakuchi Classic, Karakuchi Junmaishu, and Junmai Ginjo.
