🌱 OUR JOURNEY
Every meaningful journey begins somewhere.
Ours began humbly.
There was no grand farm.
No large facilities.
No impressive resources.
There was simply a dream, a piece of land, a willingness to learn, and the determination to make something meaningful out of what we had.
The name Merlita carries a story of its own.
It is the name of my mother, a woman who continues to inspire countless people—young and old—to follow their dreams, keep going when life becomes difficult, and develop the resilience to rise after every setback.
Her life has always reminded us that beginnings do not have to be grand.
Sometimes, you simply have to begin.
And so we began.
Little by little, through hard work, faith, perseverance, mistakes, lessons, and countless challenges, that humble beginning began to grow.
What was once simply a dream slowly became Merlita’s Agricultural Farm.
And the farm became more than a place where things grow.
It became a place where people grow.
Today, Merlita’s Agricultural Farm has grown into a Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) and a TESDA Farm School, providing opportunities for people to learn agricultural skills, develop their potential, explore livelihood possibilities, and discover that agriculture can become a pathway toward a better future. TESDA's current registry lists the farm for Organic Agriculture Production NC II and Agroentrepreneurship NC II, while ATI CALABARZON includes it in its LSA mapping.
But even as we have grown, we have never forgotten where we came from.
We remember the humble beginnings.
We remember the struggles.
We remember the moments when things did not work.
And we remember that every achievement was built one small step at a time.
That is why every milestone means so much to us.
Because behind every accreditation, every training, every student, every project, and every new opportunity is a story of perseverance.
And today, our story carries an even deeper purpose.
Merlita’s Agricultural Farm has become a legacy project dedicated to my beloved wife, Gloiza. ❤️
Her life and the love she gave continue to inspire us to build something that can outlive us—to create opportunities that can touch lives and to make sure that the work we do has meaning beyond ourselves.
So this farm carries two beautiful inspirations.
From Merlita, we learned to dream, persevere, and become resilient.
Through Gloiza, we have found a legacy worth carrying forward.
And perhaps that is what this journey has really been about all along.
Not simply building a farm.
But building something that can help build people.
A place where someone can learn a skill.
A place where a dream can begin.
A place where a struggling person can discover a new possibility.
A place where knowledge can become livelihood.
A place where one generation can inspire the next.
Every seed we plant.
Every trainee we teach.
Every farmer we encourage.
Every opportunity we create.
Becomes part of the story.
From a humble beginning...

and now toward an even greater vision.
