We're thrilled to introduce our newest members—the Darag native chicken, a premium Philippine poultry breed indigenous to Panay and Guimaras islands. Prized for its distinct, flavorful, and lean meat, the Darag is commonly used in beloved dishes like tinola and inasal.

Developed from the Red Jungle Fowl, these hardy, free-range birds are naturally disease-resistant and mature in just 4-5 months. Beyond their culinary excellence, they provide a sustainable livelihood for local farmers and embody the same commitment to quality and sustainability that drives Jlea's Farm.

Magandang araw po! Narito ang exciting update mula sa aming crayfish farm!

Masaya naming ibalita na patuloy ang aming paglaki, at ngayon ay mayroon na kaming 300 breeders ng Australian Redclaw Crayfish na may sukat na three to six inches. Isa itong malaking milestone para sa aming farm at patunay ng aming dedikasyon sa maingat at de-kalidad na pag-aalaga.

Sa aming farm, pinagsasama namin ang bisa ng trapal pond at concrete pond system upang masiguro ang mas maayos na pagpapalaki ng aming crayfish.

Ang mission namin ay makapaghatid ng premium crayfish na siguradong sariwa, de-kalidad, at karapat-dapat sa inyong hapag-kainan.

Kung naghahanap kayo ng premium crayfish na galing sa maayos at responsableng farm, nandito kami para sa inyo.

🦞 PATIENCE PAYS OFF: How Long to Wait Before Adding Crayfish to a New Concrete Pond

Building a new concrete pond? Don't rush this critical step! Fresh concrete leaches calcium hydroxide (lime), making the water dangerously alkaline—which can be fatal to your crayfish.

Here's what you need to know:

⏱️ WAIT 2-4 WEEKS before introducing any crayfish. This gives the concrete time to cure and neutralize.

The curing process is simple but essential:
• Initial Curing (2-3 weeks): Fill, let sit 7-14 days, drain, wash, and refill
• Speed It Up (Optional): Add banana leaves or poultry manure to decompose concrete chemicals faster
• Final Wash: After 2-3 weeks of soaking, drain thoroughly and wash with salt water (no detergent)
• Water Check: Test pH and ensure it's below 8.0 before stocking

🌿 PRO TIPS:
✓ Don't rush—high pH burns crayfish. It's not worth the risk.
✓ Add algae or hardy plants first to help seal the concrete and stabilize water
✓ Test with a few "tester" crayfish before full stocking to ensure safety
